Program preview 2024
Almost 200 guests celebrated the start of the new museum season at the beginning of February with "Flavin by Night" at the DASMAXIMUM KunstGegenwart museum in Traunreut. The museum is now open to visitors again at weekends and is ready for many exciting projects in the new year.

With "Flavin by Night", DASMAXIMUM has been offering the unique opportunity to see the light installation "European Couples" by American artist Dan Flavin (1933-1996) outside regular opening hours, from dusk until complete darkness, since 2023.
Start of the ZukunftsAtelier 2024
New museum season - new ZukunftsAtelier. On Tuesday, February 27, the first school class to take part in this year's project came to DASMAXIMUM with their teacher Jana Mehler from Hertzhaimer Gymnasium in Trostberg to design their own "social sculpture" based on the Beuysian principle.
Save the date: Flavin by night 2024
On Friday, February 2, 2024, all three installations by the American light art pioneer will be on display during the "Flavin by Night" event during special opening hours from 4 - 8 pm. Visitors can expect a varied program with free admission.

The Klang.Licht.Raum Foundation and the DASMAXIMUM Museum mourn the loss of Heike Friedrich (*14.4.1938 - 28.12.2023), twin sister of art patron and museum founder Heiner Friedrich, and her partner Uli Schägger (*16.07.1949 - 24.12.2023), who passed away last week within a few days of each other at their shared home in Polling.

Heiner Friedrich, legendary patron of the arts and founder of the museum DASMAXIMUM in Traunreut turns 85. DASMAXIMUM celebrates this occasion with an anniversary weekend on April 15 and 16, 2023. With free admission, visitors can expect an extensive supporting program in addition to the permanent exhibition with highlights of international contemporary art.

27.01.2023: Flavin by Night - A Review
With over 200 visitors, DASMAXIMUM celebrated the start of the anniversary year 2023 on January 27! With "Flavin at Night", the Friends and Sponsors of the Museum, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, offered visitors the opportunity to see Dan Flavin's (1933-1996) light installation "European Couples" (1966-1971) for the first time in the course of twilight and finally in full darkness. . .
