Already in August 2019, Heiner Friedrich, founder of the museum DASMAXIMUM in Traunreut, was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany at the suggestion of the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder. Due to the Corona pandemic, however, the handover was delayed. Now, last Monday, July 11, the presentation could finally take place in the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art in Munich. In this context, Minister of Art Markus Blume emphasized Heiner Friedrich's life's work, saying he was a "pioneer of world-class contemporary art in Bavaria".
