OAK PLANTING IN HONOR OF JOSEPH BEUYS
DARMSTADT, INTERNATIONAL FOREST ART TRAIL

In Darmstadt, a city with historically close ties to museum benefactor Heiner Friedrich and Joseph Beuys, another planting campaign was carried out at the International Forest Art Trail in Darmstadt Forest two years after the planting campaign at the Hessisches Landesmuseum. In addition to the Association for International Forest Art, the city of Darmstadt and the Darmstadt Forestry Office were also involved in the planting. The forestry office also donated the oak tree grown in its own forest for the planting, which was also reflected in the size proportions. Thus, the planting at the forest art trail is the only one in which the stone overhangs the tree.

PHOTOS OF THE OAK PLANTING

Lothar MĂĽller, project manager of the DASMAXIMUM Foundation, directs the setting of the basalt stele together with participants.

Many faces participated in the planting activity.

The tools for digging the tree hole are already ready...

And already the little tree is sitting in its place.

Together, the tree is well watered.

And handed over the tree sponsorship certificates to the tree sponsors and godmothers.

Finally, the perfect place for the sign on the stone was found.
