The Dan Flavin Hall in winter 2015/2016

Next weekend, November 26 and 27, DASMAXIMUM opens its doors for the last time before the winter break. When the days are short and dusk comes early, there is a very special atmosphere in the exhibition halls. Take the opportunity to see the works of art at this time of year!

Subsequently, DASMAXIMUM is closed as a daylight museum in the darkest season, from December 1 to January 31. From February 4, 2023, the house is open again as usual Saturday and Sunday from 11 am - 4 pm for you. Guided tours are also available by appointment during the winter break. The office is also staffed throughout, and the museum team is working flat out on projects for the coming year.

The jury for the writing competition KunstWortKunst is currently in session. Nearly 80 students from high schools in the districts of Traunstein and Altötting came to DASMAXIMUM to be inspired by a work of art to write a text. In January, the award ceremony at the Johannes-Heidenhain-Gymnasium marks the start of the new event year. The best texts will finally be published in an anthology in the course of the spring.

The continuation of the successful school project ZukunftsAtelier is also in preparation, as is a brand new KunstBegegnung for vocational orientation classes on John Chamberlain. The series of talks on DASMAXIMUM initiated by the Circle of Friends and Sponsors will go into another round with new topics starting in June. And finally, the lighthouse project Wort:Bilder celebrates its 10th anniversary this year in July with a new edition.

We look forward to your visit, before or after the winter break!
