OAK PLANTING IN HONOR OF JOSEPH BEUYS
MEADOWS, OLD SCHOOLHOUSE
This planting took place as part of the closing weekend of the “Verschoben” exhibition organized by the Kunstverein Wiesen. It was accompanied by a guided tour of the exhibition—as well as an introductory walking performance by all participants to fill the watering cans for later watering of the newly planted oak tree.
The installation of the stele and the planting of the tree were carried out by the municipal maintenance department with the active assistance of numerous “tree enthusiasts” and children.
In addition to DASMAXIMUM project manager Lothar Müller, initiator Friedrich Gräfling, and Mayor Willi Fleckenstein, the event was also attended by Dr. Alexander Legler, District Administrator of the Aschaffenburg district.
The Harmonie Wiesen Music Association and the Wiesen Kindergarten provided musical accompaniment for the tree-planting event and served plenty of food on a wonderfully sunny day.
