Heiner Friedrich was awarded the Culture Prize of the City of Traunreut at a festive event hosted by Mayor Klaus Ritter with numerous guests from Germany, abroad and the USA. With the foundation of the internationally important museum DASMAXIMUM KunstGegenwart in Traunreut and its opening to the public, Heiner Friedrich made an invaluable contribution to the positive image of the town of Traunreut from the very beginning.
Mayor Ritter emphasized the great importance of the museum for the city of Traunreut in his speech after foundation director Dr. Peter Lämmerhirdt had ceremoniously opened the event. Alois Glück, former president of the state parliament and honorary citizen of the town of Traunreut, paid tribute to Heiner Friedrich with a comprehensive eulogy, District Administrator Siegfried Walch emphasized the special significance of the museum with regard to the district, and Roland Ilg, Chairman of the Board of Alzmetall Werkzeugmaschinenfabrik und Gießerei Friedrich GmbH & Co. KG surprised with the opening of a special photo exhibition on Heiner Friedrich.
