ArtMovement to Dan Flavin
Program for children at DASMAXIMUM
We are starting 2024 with another very special event. As part of our special opening "Flavin by Night" at the start of the museum season, the corresponding art encounter for children on the American artist Dan Flavin (1927-1996) is of course a must. The special thing about this art encounter: on February 2, we will open the Flavin Hall when it is already getting dark outside! That's when Flavin's artworks, which consist only of colored light, seem to come to life. A theater of color, which will not only take place inside the Flavin Halle, but also outside on the museum grounds and in the adjacent forest.
Light artist Dan Flavin takes us on a search for all the colors of the rainbow. Maybe we can find our own favorite color somewhere? We also ask ourselves the question: Can you paint with colors and without brushes? And where exactly is the work of art?
The KunstBegegnung for children aims to facilitate a free and informal encounter with contemporary art. The focus is on observing, trying out and discovering.
The offer is free of charge and is aimed at children aged approx. 7-14 years.
The number of participants is limited.
