The KunstBegegnung for children aims to facilitate a free and informal encounter with contemporary art. The focus is on observing, trying out and discovering.

The German artist Imi Knoebel (*1940) is known for his bright colors and shapes, which not only hang flat on the wall, but also somehow take up the space around them. On closer inspection, however, it is not only his colors that are exciting, but also the materials with which the artist works. The aim of the art encounter is to explore these together with a museum employee. The participating children also learn how basic colors and shapes can be used to express many different thoughts and feelings.

The offer is free of charge and is aimed at children aged approx. 7-14 years.
