ArtMovement to John Chamberlain
Program for children at DASMAXIMUM
The KunstBegegnung for children aims to facilitate a free and informal encounter with contemporary art. The focus is on observing, trying out and discovering.
The American artist John Chamberlain (1927-2011) preferred to work with the material "car sheet metal" - some might say "scrap metal". But what he made from it is anything but "scrap". His sculptures have names such as "Grandma's Hat" or "Burnt Piano". In the end, the artist was concerned with one thing: deforming and creating beautiful things. With material, with words, or with light.
Together with a museum employee, the children embark on a journey of "deformation" and, of course, get creative themselves.
The offer is free of charge and is aimed at children aged approx. 7-14 years.
The number of participants is limited.
Registration is requested (mail@dasmaximum.com or 08669/1203713).
Meet at the museum ticket office at just before 2 pm.
