Event type

Photography only found its way into the visual arts at a late stage. In the 1960s, numerous artists discovered this actually technical medium in search of new influences. In a joint tour, museum director Dr. Maria Schindelegger sheds light on the different approaches of the artists at DASMAXIMUM. Andy Warhol and Gerhard Richter used photographs as models for their prints and paintings. Uwe Lausen integrated photo tear-outs from magazines into his drawings and paintings. And for the sculptor John Chamberlain, the panoramic camera was his daily companion, with which he documented his everyday life. Please register in advance.
