On May 4 and 5, 2024, an exhibition and lecture series focusing on the work of the artist couple Uwe Lausen and Heide Stolz will kick off in Traunreut. A presentation of selected photographs by Heide Stolz in the Lausen Hall of the DASMAXIMUM museum and a lecture by Dr. Selima Niggl this weekend will mark the start of a collaboration with Burda Media in Munich, where works by the two artists will also be on display from July.

Together with a museum educator, the children explore how the American artist John Chamberlain not only shapes car sheet metal, but also words and even light in his art during this art encounter.

This time we turn our attention to the German Pop Art artist Uwe Lausen and ask why he paints so many empty chairs.

The German painter Blinky Palermo was a master of color. He experimented with overpainting and juxtaposing areas of color to create entirely new colors. The KunstBegegnung for children aims to provide a free and informal encounter with contemporary art.

kunstBEWEGT is a new art education program at DASMAXIMUM aimed at people with and without inclusion needs. Social institutions and schools can now register for the first edition of kunstBEWEGT (July 15-18, 2024).

In the art encounter for children, we go on the trail of this game of hide-and-seek. At the same time, we will learn about the different painting methods of Andy Warhol and try out for ourselves what role chance plays in the creation of a picture.

This time, the focus is on the German artist Georg Baselitz. Together with a museum employee, the children explore the question of why his world is upside down and marvel at how many colors a face can consist of. We also get to know the giant "Frau Ultramarin" better and try to find out what she wants to tell us.
