Assistant (m/f/d) in the museum office
DASMAXIMUM KunstGegenwart in Traunreut is a museum for contemporary art of international importance. Five German and four American artists who have had a significant influence on the development of art to this day, including 20 works by Pop Art artist Andy Warhol alone, are shown on over 4000m2 of exhibition space.
The DASMAXIMUM Foundation, the sponsor of the museum, is looking for a part-time (25h/week) assistant (m/f/d) for the museum office to support the museum team as soon as possible.
Would you like to work in a varied job where you don't just manage, but actively help to shape things? As an assistant in the museum office at DASMAXIMUM, you will keep things running smoothly and be a central part of our small, dedicated team. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for our supervisory staff, design the duty rosters and prepare the accounts. You will responsibly manage our museum cash register and conscientiously keep visitor statistics. In addition to traditional administrative tasks, you will have the opportunity to play an active role in shaping what happens in one of the region's most extraordinary cultural venues.
Everyday working life at DASMAXIMUM is varied and never boring. In our small team, we also attach great importance to collegial cooperation with flat hierarchies.
Her main responsibilities include
- General administrative tasks and office work (including address database, filing invoices, press archive, visitor statistics, correspondence, dispatch, appointment coordination)
- Management of the museum cash desk incl. cash accounting and cash book
- Management of museum supervisors incl. duty planning, preparation of time sheets, invoicing, preparation of contracts
- Supporting the office team with general administrative tasks, including in the area of foundation administration.
- Support at events (also outside regular working hours if required)
- Weekend shifts in rotation with other colleagues (1-2 weekends per month)
- After initial training, support in the field of art education (guided tours, educational programs for school classes) is desired.
Your requirements profile includes:
- Commercial or comparable professional training, or comparable professional experience in administration
- Professional experience in a comparable position
- Very good German and good English skills
- Very good knowledge of the MS Office package (Word, Excel)
- Independent, organized and structured way of working
- High degree of reliability and discretion
- Flexibility and commitment
- High degree of team spirit and sense of responsibility
- Interest in art and culture in general
